1. What is a window slice
Window chip is one of the basic optical elements in optics. It is an optical flat plate that plays the role of protecting electronic components / sensors / semiconductor components in the optical path. The window slice does not change the optical magnification, and only affects the optical path in the optical path. Mechanical properties such as light transmittance, surface accuracy, thickness, parallelism and substrate material are important parameters of window slice.
Jiangxiang technology can provide high-precision window chips of various materials, including germanium (GE), silicon (SI), n-bk7, UV fused quartz, zinc selenide (ZnSe), barium fluoride (BaF2), calcium fluoride (CaF2), potassium bromide (KBr), K9 window chips, etc. Many of our optional antireflective films can be used in ultraviolet, visible or infrared spectroscopy. We mainly customize the optical window film for you according to your specific needs.
2. What is infrared window?
The most commonly used materials in infrared windows are calcium fluoride, sapphire, germanium, silicon, magnesium fluoride, zinc selenide and barium fluoride. Our company mainly produces all kinds of infrared window films, such as germanium window films, barium fluoride window films, zinc selenide window films, silicon window films, calcium fluoride window films, etc. Historically, calcium fluoride and barium fluoride are the most commonly used infrared window optical materials. However, calcium fluoride is used more frequently because barium fluoride (in powder form) is classified as a possible carcinogen and a known muscle toxin.
